Clarity
clar·i·ty
What does Clarity mean?
Seeing what's actually in front of you, not what you fear or hope is there. Clarity rarely means more answers. Usually it means fewer, better questions.
Another way of seeing Clarity
We wait for clarity before we move, as if it will arrive like the weather. It almost never does. Clarity is a by-product of action: you take one step, the fog thins by a metre, and you can see the next step. Thinking can tell you which way to face. Only walking clears the view.
Clarity in relationships
Most conflict lives in the gaps between what we meant, what we said and what we expected. Clear is kind. Vague is unkind, however gently it's delivered.
Clarity in everyday life
Before the day takes over, finish this sentence on paper: ‘Today will have been worth it if…’ Then guard that one thing as if it's the only thing — because it is.
Carry this with you
Clarity comes from moving, not waiting.
