Another way of seeing Truth
A lie is a loan taken out against the future: comfortable now, expensive later, with interest. The truth works the opposite way. It usually costs something up front and pays you back over time. And the hardest truths to tell are rarely the ones we owe other people. They're the ones we keep avoiding telling ourselves.

Honesty without kindness wounds, and kindness without honesty slowly poisons. Say the true thing, gently, at a moment it can be heard.
